Unfortunately, there are many people nowadays who are suffering from sleep apnea, insomnia, sleep disturbances, ornight terrors.
Sleep apnea is a very serious sleep disorder that happens when a person’s breathing is interrupted during the sleep. Persons with untreated sleep apnea during their sleep stop breathing repeatedly, sometimes hundreds of times. This means that the brain — and the rest of your body — might not get enough oxygen. There are 2 types of sleep apnea:
-Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA): this is the more common of the two forms of apnea. It’s caused by some blockage of the airway, usually when the soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses while sleeping.
-Central sleep apnea: Unlike the OSA, the airway isn’t blocked, but the brain fails to send signal to the muscles to breathe, caused by the instability in the respiratory control center.
